Who We Work With

Collaborative Partners

Dimensions Foundation works with many education and conservation groups throughout the United States and internationally on collaborative projects to bring quality education and nature-related experiences to children, families and educators. Following are a sampling of our major collaborative partners.

Arbor Day Foundation

Dimensions and Arbor Day Foundation work collaboratively on the national Nature Explore Program.

Nature Action Collaborative for Children

Dimensions Foundation is a member of the international Nature Action Collaborative for Children, (NACC) which is sponsored by World Forum Foundation. NACC’s mission is to re-connect children with the natural world by making developmentally appropriate nature education a sustaining and enriching part of the daily lives of the world’s children. Dimensions also provides staff support for the NACC Leadership Team.

Keep America Beautiful

Keep America Beautiful supports the creation and on-going eforts of Nature Explore Classrooms throughout the United States. Keep America Beautiful members often attend design consultations when Nature Explore Classrooms are being planned.

Children & Nature Network

The Children & Nature Network is a national nonprofit public benefit organization whose purpose is to re-connect children and nature and to provide resources for sharing information, strategic initiatives, reports and case studies. The Children & Nature Network partners with Nature Explore to promote the children and nature connection and further the common goals of connecting people, in particular children, with nature and outdoor experiences as well as broadening awareness of the benefits children gain from spending time in the natural world.

Our Consultants

Workshops Consultants

In addition to on-staff consultants who deliver Nature Explore Workshops, Dimensions also works with a cadre of highly qualified consultants throughout the United States who have been completed a Train-the-Trainers Workshop Series to become Certified Nature Explore Workshop Facilitators.

Outdoor Classroom Designers

Dimensions contracts with a number of highly qualified landscape architects and architects who have successfully completed Dimensions’ Designing Outdoor Classrooms for Children Workshop. These consultants work in consultation with Dimensions’ Senior Landscape Architect, Jim Wike, and deliver Nature Explore design consultations throughout the United States.

Research Consultants

In addition to on-staff teacher co-researchers and research analysts working under the direction of Research Director Dr. Dana Miller, a cadre of nationally respected consultants from a variety of fields also serve as consultants to Dimensions’ research.
